In this category, you will find recipes for pickles and preserves. Some of the recipes might be strange or unusual but hopefully they will give you some ideas and inspiration. I do hope this section grows because with the advent of freezers, preserving is not needed on the same scale it used to be; however, some products like preserved lemons, pickled onions, dill pickles and chutneys, to name but a few, are about taste and flavour, not preservation. As with dips and sauces, the added benefit of making rather than buying is that you can add your favourite ingredients so the end product is exactly to your taste.
