Ultra-Tex
Ultra-Tex is gluten-free, multi-functional, highly dispersible instant thickening starch and can be applied to both hot and cold liquid preparations until the desired thickness is reached. It is a tasteless, colourless and gluten free powder. When added to a liquid it disperses quickly and evenly without lumping. Because it is tasteless, perfectly flavoured sauces, drinks, gels or any other liquid can be thickened to the ideal texture without compromising the flavour. It allows you to get the perfect consistency without compromising on flavour.
Simply add 1-5% for instant thickening, hot or cold. If you're looking to create the perfect fluid gel or perfect stock, Ultratex is the quickest and easiest way to do it. Just add it to vegetable or fruit juice, milkshake, smoothies, stock, sorbet, cream, or any flavoured liquid. It is also freeze thaw stable and prevents the leeching of liquids. Add gradually until preferred consistency is achieved. The hydration of Ultratex is rapid so it thickens very quickly. Ideally leave it for five minutes or so as the consistency will continue thickening slightly as the starch swells.
