Steak with Philly Sauce

Fillet steak with a creamy Philadelphia cheese sauce, made easy by using Philadelphia Light with spring onion & black pepper cream cheese.

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
- 2 lean fillet steak, sirloin, rib eye or rump steaks
- 75 g Philadelphia Light with spring onion & black pepper
- 50 ml beef stock
Method
- Oil the steaks and add to a hot griddle pan.
- Cook the steaks in the hot pan for the preferred amount of time.
- Meanwhile put the Philly in a small pan. Stir in the stock. Heat gently until almost boiling.
Serving suggestions
Serve the Philly sauce with the steaks accompanied by potatoes, carrots and a green vegetable.

Barbecue the steaks instead.
Chef's notes
Allow the steaks to rest in a warm place for 5 minutes before serving. It makes all the difference.
