Mise en place

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C (350° F - gas 4)

Method

  1. Sauté the onion and garlic in the oil until very soft.
  2. Add the spices and the Belazu Rose Harissa and cook for 1 minute. Cool.
  3. Mix with the lamb and the egg and lots of seasoning.
  4. Add the cornmeal and mix well
  5. Shape into about 27 balls and roll in a little flour. Heat the oil in a frying pan and quickly brown the meatballs in batches.
  6. Transfer to a baking tray and finish cooking in the oven for about 10 minutes.

Serving suggestion

Serve with couscous and a tomoato sauce or one of the 522 sauces in our the dips and sauces section.

Chef's notes

These freeze really well. Spread out on a tray covered with grease-proof paper and place in the freezer until frozen, and then store in labelled freezer bags.
