Just don't add any extra black pepper!

Another success using East at Home Curry Gravy. This makes a really nice warning curry and the fresh tuna has an incredible flavour that is not overpowered by the curry.

Do not be tempted to add any extra pepper as the curry paste is quite peppery.

Method

  1. In a pan, fry the onions and garlic in the olive oil until browned
  2. Stir in the curry paste and mix well
  3. Add the remaining curry powder and turmeric
  4. Once mixed, pour in the Curry Gravy and combine
  5. When the sauce has warmed mix in the coconut block and tomato puree.
  6. Heat gently for an hour, stirring well - a slow cooker is great for this
  7. Add a little water if needed
  8. 10 minutes before serving, in a separate pan, shallow fry the tuna for 3 minutes in butter
  9. Stir the double cream into the curry sauce
  10. Plate up the rice and vegetables, pour over the curry sauce and sit the pan fried tuna on top
