Method

  1. Put the peas into a bowl and cover with water
  2. Soak peas 6 to 8 hours or overnight
  3. Discard the soaking water
  4. Mix in a salad bowl the first ingredients
  5. Add the peas and remaining ingredients in a saucepan
  6. Cover and simmer about 3 hours
  7. Serve
