Teifi cheese with garlic

Teifi is produced by John and Patrice Savage-Onstwedder and Paula van Werkhoven on their farm in Llanddysul, Ceredigion. The producers are of Dutch origin and this is reflected in their cheesemaking.

Teifi is farmhouse, unpasteurised, cows' milk cheese which is naturally flavoured and available either as a young fresh cheese with semi-hard smooth texture, or matured, where the cheese has been aged for up to 12 months, giving a deeper richer flavour whilst retaining a smooth slightly soft texture.

Other varieties of Teifi include versions with added garlic, onion & garlic, laverbread, nettle, cumin seed, and sweet peppers. It is also available in an oak smoked variety. Celtic Promise cheese is a rind-washed version if this cheese.
