These tables only apply if the [[cakes]] are to be the same height as the original recipe.  Also you may need to reduce or increase the temperature and cooking time if there is a large difference between the original cake diameter and the one you are making.  You need to multiply the figure in the last column (X BY) the original quantity given for each ingredient ([[flour]], [[sugar]] etc), to calculate what you will need for the tin size you want to use.
