Portugal is famous for its wines, the Algarve and Vasco da Gama but it does produce a very good range of cheese. Many of its cheeses are produced using ewes' milk, but there are some using cows' milk especially those from the Azores. Portuguese cheese is not easy to obtain in the UK, but PortugueseFood.co.uk who are based in Portugal, will accept orders from the UK.
