Olivia cheese

Olivia is a soft goats' milk cheese from Provence and was created in 1995 by Mme Isabelle Donneaud. This cheese combines two local traditional products, goats' cheese and olive cream. Weighing 120g, Olivia was first produced for restaurateurs in the region. In 1998 at the cheese competition "Goût et avenir", it was awarded a gold medal. The cheese is now available beyond its original territory. Olivia is a lactic cheese and the curd pre-drained prior to production.
It is produced at a small farm at Jabron, which is located on the edge of Provence and the Alps, between the bed of the river Jabron and Mount Gervis, 4km from historic Sisteron.
