The home-made Marmite dog-treats have been tested and approved by Molly, Janet's owner. 😉

They are really easy home made dog treats. If you can add ingredients to a bowl and mix them and turn an oven on, then you can make these.

You can cut them into biscuit shapes with a knife or use a dog biscuit cutter.

Ingredients

Printable πŸ–¨ shopping πŸ›’ list & πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ method for this recipe

Mise en place

  • Preheat your oven to 160Β° C (325Β° F - gas 3), [fan oven 140Β° C & reduce cooking time by 10 mins per hour]

Method

  1. Stir the Marmite into the warm water
  2. Beat the egg
  3. Pop everything into a large bowl and mix really well until all the oats are evenly covered
  4. Leave for 15 minutes so the oats absorb all of the liquid - the consistency should be like a hard dough
  5. Give the mixture a final knead and add a little more water if it is too stiff
  6. Roll out to your desired thickness and cut into shapes with a knife or press out using a dog biscuit cutter
  7. Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes at 160Β° C (325Β° F - gas 3), [fan oven 140Β° C & reduce cooking time by 10 mins per hour]
  8. Cool on a wire rack

Serving suggestions

Store in an airtight container and use within 6 days or freeze once cooled
