Would you be kind enough to create some Spanish redirects to this recipe please.

I note on the original recipe that 'Tumbet' is the original Majorcan name for this dish. I dare not create a redirect of that name for fear of breaking some un-written linguistic rule - I shall leave that to you. ;-)

Ha, Tumbet is Catalán not Castillian Spanish, ie the Spanish we learn in this country and in Mallorca they speak Catalán. I have come across the word before but cannot recall what it means.. Beware of any 'Spanish' ending word ending in t, ts, gt, gts etc - it is bound to be Catalán. I will ask Ricard2009 as he speaks Catalán as his everyday language. Will get back asap ... --JuliaBalbilla 19:58, 6 April 2011 (BST) xx

Here is the answer, I MAY have got muddled but still not convinced that any word ending in t is Spanish - Tombet I will do a redirect in morning when I have P & blessed Q  :-) xx--JuliaBalbilla 20:41, 6 April 2011 (BST)

tombet

Plat típic mallorquí i menorquí, consistent en una fregida composta de patates, pebre, albergínia i tomàquet.

Hom pot afegir-hi carn.

I suppose the obvious meaning is that it is 'a typical Mallorcan or Menorcan dish, made of fried potates, peppers, aubergines and tomatoes. You can add meat if you wish' - I will sort out in morning. Watching Master chef at the momemt. Noches JB

Thanks for that --Chef 16:35, 7 April 2011 (BST)

Have got this sorted now. Tumbet is the Spanish word, taken from Catalán, which explains the 't' ending, but the Catalán it is Tombet. I will have to give this recipe a go. I think I will do a redirect spelling Majorca with the double L so that both languages are 'catered' for! --JuliaBalbilla 17:19, 7 April 2011 (BST)

I'm making it tonight! Lots of garlic and probably chillies too! :-) --Chef 17:35, 7 April 2011 (BST)

Sounds delicious and will make soon! --JuliaBalbilla 19:50, 7 April 2011 (BST)
