Julia, I thought of you as I added this  :-))

When I saw this and told MAS about it, he asked if you were pregnant :-) Would you really eat it? --JuliaBalbilla 12:02, 3 January 2011 (GMT)

Not by choice. I was just hunting around for 'odd' recipes and spotted this. I like my peanut butter with chilli sauce and a splash of lime juice and a tiny sprinkle of salt - that's it for me. I don't really fancy the idea of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches either to be frank.

Anne, who won't eat peanuts alone or in butter form, thinks this GROSS! --Chef 16:44, 3 January 2011 (GMT)

Peanut butter, lime and chilli sounds very yummy! Does Anne dislike all nuts or just peanuts? Such a shame. You have reminded me of about 15 years ago when I was a member of a mailing list called Moonrakers, which also had a website (now long gone). It was for people who have ancestors from Wiltshire and the chap who ran it invited members to add Wiltshire recipes to the Moonrakers site. I had a Wiltshire cookery book, with some of the most vile recipes I had ever come across and submitted them. Because they were so disgusting, they had a page of their own called 'Rosemary's Revolting Recipes' or something of that nature. Not sure if I still have that book though. All revolting bits of animals etc and I think I would prefer to eat Fluffernutter than those Wiltshire recipes. --JuliaBalbilla 17:16, 3 January 2011 (GMT)

Anne dislikes most nuts, though I've managed to convince her that almonds, cashews, walnuts, pine and maybe a few more are ok, but she won't touch peanuts and peanut butter.

On subject of disgusting, the 'Elvis' sounded pretty revolting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peanut_butter,_banana_and_bacon_sandwich

-)

Like the sound of RRR !

I feel sick :-) (Elvis). Get Anne to try Ajo Blanco Malagueño - contains ground almonds but you can hardly taste 'em. The garlic tends to dominate. --JuliaBalbilla 17:59, 4 January 2011 (GMT)

Sorry, didn't see bit re RRR. I think some of them are actually Gloucs. and I do have that book somewhere, but I wonder if they are worth adding as no sane person would want to actually cook and eat them and therefore get a pic - or maybe you would???????? Je, je, je ????????????

Probably not!

We made that Ajo Blanco, though it was a few years ago now. She liked that. I suppose it's nuts as snacks that she won't eat. She is pretty good a eating (and then liking) stuff that I make, even if it 'may contain nuts'!

Following my Chinese wholesaler visit, I have found my favourite :-)) A sate sauce (don't think you would like as it has fishy overtones). I have eaten 1/2 the jar already, most with a teaspoon. Wow! Fabulous. Also got a really nice black bean and chilli sauce, though its all in Chinese so will never be able to find it again. They all look the same to me. (THE BOTTLES!)
