Tuna in toast baskets with Džiugas cheese

Another fine looking tuna aperitif recipe from the makers of Džiugas cheese.

Mise en place

  • Preheat your oven to 180° C (350° F - gas 4), [fan oven 160° C & reduce cooking time by 10 mins per hour]

Method

  1. Using a rolling pin, roll out each slice of bread to make it thinner.
  2. Put each slice into a large silicone muffin moulds or muffin tins.
  3. Beat the eggs with the sour cream.
  4. Stir in the grated Džiugas cheese and season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Pop a tablespoon of tuna into each mould.
  6. Top with apple and pour cheese mixture over the top.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
