Pesto being blitzed

Pesto is a sauce that originates in the city of Genoa in northern Italy. It consists of garlic, pine nuts, basil, olive oil, sea salt, Parmesan cheese and maybe some lemon juice. The ingredients are roughly mixed in a pestle and mortar or a food processor.

Pesto is commonly used with pasta.

Try our pesto recipe, it may not be totally authentic, but it's good!
