Queso de La Gomera cheese
Queso de La Gomera is an unpasteurised goats’ milk cheese from the island of the same name. It can also be produced with a mixture of goats’ and ewes’ milk. The cheese comes as fresh, semi mature or mature.
The cheese can vary from the subtle and delicate taste of fresh cheese to the strong flavour and aroma of mature cheese. It is an essential ingredient of Gomeran recipes such as Almogrote or Torta de Cuajada.
