Málaga is a fresh cheese produced in the province of the same name, mainly in the areas of Axarquía, Antequera, Guadalteba, Sierra de las Nieves and Valle del Guadalhorce.. It is made with the pasteurised milk of the Malagueña breed of goat.

The cheese, which is kneaded by hand, is rindless, with a deep white exterior and a lighter white interior, with small irregular holes. It is pressed and has a softish, moist, but firm texture. It has a very sweet, mild, goaty flavour and aroma. It is slightly salty.

Produced mainly in flat cylinders, the cheese weighs between 500 g and 1 kg. It is also known as Serranías de Málaga or Queso de Ronda
