Kärntner Rahmlaib cheese

Kärntner Rahmlaib is a pasteurised cows’ milk cheese from Oberösterreich, which is named after the Austrian region of Carinthia (Kärnten), in whose Lavanttal valley the cheese was first produced.

The cheese has a light yellow colour with a soft and smooth texture and a strong, aromatic flavour. It has numerous small holes and a natural reddish rind.

The block shaped cheese measures 28cm x 27cm x 11.5cm and weighs about 4.7 kg. It is matured for eight weeks.
