Eden Ivory cheese

Eden Ivory cheese - General information

Eden Ivory is produced by Bob Parmley, Alan Mandle and Maurice Walton of Appleby Creamery Ltd in Appleby-in-Westmorland. It is a hard, ewes' milk cheese made with pasteurised ewes' milk from Ostrich World in the nearby village of Langwathby. Similar to Manchego, it has a creamy, nutty flavour, with a hint of sweetness. It is suitable for vegetarians.

The cheese has won the following awards:

Gold Award at the Cumbria Life - Taste Cumbria Awards 2013

Silver at the Nantwich International Cheese Awards 2010

The cheese can be obtained online from Winter Tarn Cheese or from regional suppliers.
