This is a simple, but delicious creamy ice–cream and the ingredients have been kept to a minimum.

- 600 ml double cream
- 80-90 ml caster sugar (or to taste)
- ¾ teaspoon rosewater (or to taste)
- Pinch of salt
Method
- If you are using an ice-cream maker, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- To make by hand, place all of the ingredients in a container and mix well.
- Place it in the freezer and, every half-hour or so, remove from freezer and mix again.
- Repeat this process until the ice-cream is at the desired consistency.
