The Tom Collins is a type of Collins cocktail made from gin, lemon juice, sugar, and carbonated water. First memorialised in writing in 1876 by "the father of American mixology" Jerry Thomas, this "Gin and Sparkling Lemonade" drink typically is served in a collins glass over ice.

- 1½ oz gin
- 1 oz lemon juice
- ½ oz sugar syrup
- Soda water
- 1 maraschino cherry for garnish
- A lemon slice for garnish
Method
- Pour the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in a collins glass. Add ice cubes.
- Mix well.
- Top up with soda water.
- Garnish with the cherry and a slice of orange.
