Talk:Slow cooker

From Cookipedia

Slight contradiction in text here I think:

Para 1 says baking is not possible

Para 2 states cakes can be made

Long time since I had one of these, but I seem to recall the latter is true, although the results are in no way comparable with oven-cooked products.

Do you want me to amend accordingly. depending on what your opinion/experience is?

I have no experience (or ownership) of a slow cooked, however, as it's basically a 20 watt bulb in a biscuit-tin then I image some cakes (stodgy affairs) could be made, but "not as we know them", Jim.

BTW, if you check 'my watchlist' on any talk pages, you will see a highlighted top bar whenever anyone edits the page and also an email alert if you have switched them on in your preferences. You may already know this, apologies if so.

Correct this page as you see fit. --Chef 11:47, 2 August 2010 (BST)
