When I cooked this for 2, I used 2 salmon steaks but made the sauce quantity for 4. Even so, the sauce was not enough to cover the steaks. In the end I added close to half a pint of milk and heated the sauce ingredients in a pan to make a rich creamy sauce and then poured this over the salmon and baked it.
