I have changed the recipe from the original:

I did not fry the parma ham for 2 minutes first, I have increased the balsamic vinegar and added black pepper and basil - the more basil the better.

A nice recipe. If you want to cut down on the butter use 50 / 50 olive oil / butter or even 100% olive oil.
