A fish kettle (or fish poacher) is probably one of the easiest ways of cooking whole fish.

Fish kettle

Often manufactured from stainless steel, this long thin pan comes in a variety of sizes that will accommodate small trout up to a large salmon.

The kettle contains a trivet with handles that allow the fish to be easily removed in one piece.
