Potato chipper
We no longer use a deep fat fryer as they get disgustingly filthy, are messy and hard to clean and fairly unhealthy. So you would think we would have no use for a potato chipper. That all changed once we discovered the Air Fryer. They still get pretty mucky, but if you can fry chips for two people in a tablespoon of olive oil, that wins on health grounds in my book!
We have used the Kitchen Craft Potato Chipper at least once a week for two years, and very good it's been. However it's been repaired a few times and now it's failed completely. Time to upgrade. The Kitchen Craft KCBB882 Potato Chipper was just over a tenner [£10], The Spoito replacement is sixty quid [£60], however, you get what you pay for. The Sopito Stainless Steel Potato Cutter is restaurant grade and in a class of its own.
If you use a potato cutter now and then, the Kitchen Craft Potato Chipper will be fine. If you use a potato chipper more than once a week, then go for the Sopito Stainless Steel Potato Cutter.
