DOC ingredients
DOC stands for ‘Denominação de Origem Controlada’ which translates as ‘controlled name of origin’. In addition to protecting the designation of origin, the DOC also establishes regulations aimed at maintaining the quality level of the products associated with a particular region. It is a Portuguese regulation rather than an EU one. The following Portuguese ingredients are those which are registered as DOC.
