* Mull of Kintyre Scottish Cheddar is crafted at the Campbeltown Creamery, located in the extreme west of Scotland on the remote Kintyre Peninsular. The creamery has been making cheese since 1923, and it’s this provenance that helps to give Mull of Kintyre Cheddar such a unique flavour.

* Mull of Kintyre Cheddar is an award-winning Scottish Cheddar and was recognised as ‘Champion Scottish Cheese’ in the International Cheese Awards in both 2010 and 2011. It also won Gold Awards at the Royal Highland Show in 2009 and Best Extra Mature Cheddar at the British Cheese Awards 2010. 

* Mull of Kintyre Scottish Cheddar is part of First Milk, a farmer-owned food business that supplies and markets 15% of the milk produced in the UK.

* The distinctive character of Mull of Kintyre Scottish Cheddar comes, in part, from the high quality of the milk sourced from First Milk’s own 38 local dairy herds. The Kintyre Peninsular is home to 35 of these herds, while the neighbouring Island of Gigha houses 3 more.
