A '''lattice cutter''' is a tool specifically designed to cut fixed sized slits in [[pastry]] by rolling the tool over the [[pastry]].  When the [[pastry]] is stretched, a lattice pattern is formed by the cuts.  That's the theory anyway.  I've not managed to produce usable lattice pastry with my cutter [pictured].

Can be used in recipes such as [[Linzer torte]]
