A substitute for a muddle stick

To muddle in culinary terms is to mix or blend ingredients, often in cocktails, by compressing them against the base of a glass with a muddle-stick or muddler. Whilst muddle-sticks are commercially available, the end of a rolling pin or the handle of a citrus juicer will normally suffice.
