In addition to being consumed fresh, strawberries are frozen or made into preserves. Strawberries are a popular addition to dairy products, as in strawberry flavoured ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies and yogurts. Strawberry pie is also popular.
Wild strawberries, although much smaller in size, have a far superior flavour to commercial varieties.
How much does one cup of strawberries weigh?
Estimated US cup to weight equivalents:
Ingredient | US Cups | Grams | Ounces | |
Strawberries | fresh - halved/sliced | 1 |
200 grams | 7 ounces |
Conversion notes:
Every ingredient has a cups to ounces or grams conversion table. Search for the ingredient, cup to weight conversions are at the end of each ingredient page.
We also have a generic conversion table and a portions per person lookup.
