Slight continuity error:
You state that you haven't yet made a terrine but the picture on the bottom right is captioned with that.
I added that the 2cm cheese you refer to is in the "top right" picture.
(Tongue-in-cheek) Did you contemplate using your bath tub to heat up 45 litres of milk to make your big cheese? Perhaps you could get an old tin bath and put it on top of your stove - I noticed in one of your pics for another recipe you had a six burner. (Is galvanised steel OK for cheese or does it have to be stainless?)

At the time of writing, I had not tried it with terrines and when I did, I must have forgotten to amend the text. I have done so now. The press is large enough to press a cheese which has been made from 45 litres milk. However, my largest saucepan will only take 16-17 litres of milk so my largest mould was just over one-third full when I made it. The cheese was fairly large even then. It is probably Jerry who has a six burner - ours is only 4 and electric at that. I just switch all 4 on and put the saucepan in the middle of the hob. --JuliaBalbilla 07:28, 29 July 2010 (BST)
All my books suggest stainless steel, so not sure about galvanised steel.--JuliaBalbilla 11:39, 29 July 2010 (BST)
