Description : Chickens, capons, guinea fowl, turkeys slow growth, firm

Geographical area : The Département of Ain (France) and adjacent districts. Geographical origin proved by an unbroken series of documents which makes it possible,to trace the entire history of the product throughout the production process. Poultry fed on a cereal-based diet and they must have access to a run. The Département of Ain has a deep-rooted tradition of poultry farming, and poultry features prominently in local gastronomic specialities, and the commercial poultry bred in Ain is renowned for its quality.
