A very English variation of Tunisian beef pie, with steamed broccoli

Mise en place

  • Preheat the oven to 190° C (375° F - gas 5).

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and brown the onion.
  2. Stir in the garlic and fry for a couple of minutes, then add the meat.
  3. Cook until the meat has coloured.
  4. In a bowl mix the potatoes, chopped eggs, parsley, salt, pepper and the beaten eggs.
  5. Add the meat mixture to the bowl.
  6. Lightly grease a casserole dish and transfer the mixture to it from the bowl.
  7. Place in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes.

Serving suggestions

Serve in slices with steamed vegetables.
