The Cotswold Cheese Company

The Cotswold Cheese Company was founded in 2006. Husband and wife, Jon and Lisa Goodchild, acquired the business in 2010 when Jon decided to swap the corporate world for something a little more local.

Establishing themselves in Moreton-in-Marsh, the shop quickly became the talk (and taste) of the town, with Cotswoldians and tourists alike travelling from far and wide to sample the cheesy delights of the Cotswold Cheese Company.

Since the first shop opened over a decade ago, the company has gone from strength to strength, opening another store in Stow-on-the-Wold, two franchises in Burford and Cheltenham, as well as establishing a thriving online business – cheese delivered to the door seems to be quite popular you know! Yet despite the growth, they’ve still kept a family feel at the heart of the Cotswold Cheese Company.

The shops stock more than 120 different artisan and farmhouse cheeses, with a real focus on local quality producers from around the Cotswolds, as well as British cheeseboard staples like Cheshire, Lancashire and Caerphilly to name but a few. Of course, no cheese shop would be complete without some classics from further afield – high quality French, Spanish and Italian cheeses all contribute to the fantastic variety of cheese stocked both in store and online.

But cheese isn’t everything! To complement the cheese, there’s a wide range of accompaniments and other deli essentials, such as local breads, biscuits and crackers, chutneys, as well as cured meats, pâtés and more. Not to mention a mouthwatering range of wines and local beers, ciders and spirits, all of which can be bought simply to indulge in of an evening, or for something slightly more special, such as a Cheese Wedding Cake or Cotswold Hamper.

Whatever your taste, there’s sure to be something you like and let’s be honest, trying something new is half the fun. So pop into one of our Cotswold Cheese Company stores in either Burford, Cheltenham, Moreton-in-Marsh or Stow on the Wold and let’s talk (and eat) some cheese!
