Brightly coloured burra champ (roasted lamb chops)

Tandoori colouring is an artificial food additive that is added to Indian foods, such as chicken tikka to give a bright red effect.

It adds no flavour and as it's generally a chemical rather than a natural substance, I would be inclined to leave it out and forego the luminous red effect!
