Rhubarb and ginger preserve
Not having a sweet tooth, I'm not really one for Jams and preserves, however, Mackays Rhubarb and ginger preserve is a staple of our kitchen. It is just the best glaze for gammons and hams that you could imagine. Just paint about 2 to 3 tablespoons over the surface of a precooked ham or gammon joint and finish for 30 minutes in the middle of a preheated oven (180° C (350° F - gas 4), [fan oven 160° C & reduce cooking time by 10 mins per hour]).
You never know, one day I may even try this out of a piece of bread!
