Maître Seguin cheese

Origin

  • Maitre Seguin is a traditional artisan cheese from the Loire Valley in Poitou-Charentes.

  • Goaty aroma and salty taste.

Strength and texture

  • Medium to strong. Consumed fresh or after a maturation period of up to 3 weeks. Creamy texture when young, becoming dry and brittle if matured.

  • Produced in cylinders.

Description

If matured, the cheese forms a natural, wrinkled, white rind, dotted with brown, orange and red dots. The interior is also white.
