Lattice cutter
Pastry cut with a lattice cutter

A lattice cutter is a tool specifically designed to cut fixed sized slits in pastry by rolling the tool over the pastry. When the pastry is stretched, a lattice pattern is formed by the cuts. That's the theory anyway. I've not managed to produce usable lattice pastry with my cutter [pictured].

Can be used in recipes such as Linzer torte
