Bledington Blue cheese

Bledington Blue is an organic cheese produced by Daylesford Organics, which is situated in the village of Daylesford in Gloucestershire. It is owned by Sir Anthony Bamford, the manufacturer of JCB excavators. It is made with the pasteurised cows' milk that comes from their own herd of Friesian cows which roam the unpolluted green pastures of the Cotswold Hills. It takes its name from a nearby village.

The cheese is new and is a small, individual soft, blue cheese, matured for 4 weeks, with a natural rind, it has a lovely smooth and creamery texture. Delicious on its own or with sourdough bread. Each cheese weighs 400g.

The cheese won a Silver Medal at the 2011 British Cheese Awards and a Gold Medal in the 2011 World Cheese Awards.
