Almliesl Löffelkäse is a cottage cheese made with pasteurised cows’ milk in the southern part of Oberösterreich.
Sold in 200 g pots it has a grainy texture and a mild, slightly sour flavour. It is also available with chives. Almliesl Sirtaki is a version made with garlic and gherkins.
