Alhama de Granada is a semi-hard, pressed [[cheese]] made with either pasteurised or unpasteurised goats’ [[milk]]. It is named after its area of production in the province of Granada.

The [[cheese]], which weighs from 1 and 2 kg, is cylindrical, with a natural, oil-soaked, brownish rind. The interior is a dull white colour and has a few small holes.

It has a very goaty aroma and after the [[cheese]] has melted in your mouth, you are left with a tangy aftertaste.
