POP/ΠΟΠ Aktinidio Sperchiou Ακτινίδιο Σπερχειού are kiwi fruit cropped mainly from the Hayward variety.
Geographical area: The administrative boundaries of the Sperhtiou river valley of the Fthiotida prefecture.
Evidence: The product originates exclusively from kiwi fruit stock grown in the defined geographical zone.
Method of production: Cropping is by hand and is carried out in two stages. Those fruits that are ripe and well-formed are harvested first and the remainder fruits are left to a second harvesting stage.
