'Amocan' seasoned shrimp paste (Rieu tom, sambal udang kering) is a spicy cooking sauce made by the Amoy corporation. I doubt you will find it in a normal UK supermarket Its domain is the large Chinese wholesaler. It is not exceptional, but is a good cupboard standby to liven up seafood, especially curries.
It contains amongst other ingredients:
- Onion
- Cooked chopped prawns
- Palm oil
- TVP
- Salted yellow beans
- Red chili powder
- Roasted peanuts
- Sugar
