Strawberry ice-cream

Ice-cream made with fresh strawberries. If your ice-cream maker has no built-in freezer, place your bowl in the freezer for a minimum of 12 hours before using.

Method

  1. Place the strawberries in a bowl and mix with the lemon juice and 110g of the sugar and leave for 2 hours to allow the sugar to dissolve
  2. Pour into a tall jug and add the remaining ingredients except for the cream
  3. Blend until the mixture is smooth using a stick blender
  4. Add the cream and blend briefly
  5. Allow to chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour
  6. Pour into your ice-cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions
  7. Transfer into a container and keep in the freezer
