Tinglestone is a fresh cheese made by Melissa Ravenhill of Woefuldane Farm, Minchinhampton, near Stroud. The unpasteurised milk used is organic and comes from the producer’s own herd of Shorthorn cows.

The cheese, which is named after the standing stone in Minchinhampton, is available as plain or with pepper. The plain version won a Bronze in the 2008 British Cheese Awards for New Cheeses.

This cheese is suitable for vegetarians, but is only available at the farmer’s markets in Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester, Cheltenham and a few local shops. However, you can buy the cheese by mail order, directly from the farm.

THIS CHEESE IS NO LONGER PRODUCED
