Tanatside is a Holstein/Friesian cows’ [[milk]] [[cheese]] produced by Stuart and Rena Eyres of [http://www.shropshirecheese.co.uk/ The Shropshire Cheese Company] at Abertanat Farm, Llanyblodwel, near Oswestry. It takes its name from the River Tanat, at the mouth of which Abertanat Farm is located.

Similar to [[Wensleydale cheese]], Tanatside has a dry but slightly crumbly texture and an alkaline flavour. As well as the original variety there are three further types available:
