Pico is a [[DOP (Portuguese)|DOP]] cheese from the island of Pico in the Azores.

The [[cheese]] was originally produced from cows’ [[milk]] [[cheese]], but it is now often mixed with goats’ [[milk]]. It weighs about 350 g and has a yellow rind. The interior is soft and has a strong flavour. Its strong smell varies according to its degree of maturity.
