Alpzirler is a pasteurised cows’ [[milk]] [[cheese]] from Voitsberg in Styria (Steiermark).

The [[cheese]] has a pale yellow, slightly melting texture with occasional, round holes and a savoury-strong taste. Red cultures are added to it which gives it a dark to red-brown natural rind.

The cylindrical [[cheese]] has a diameter of 31 cm, a height of 6 cm and weighs about 6 kg. It is matured for 6 months.
