* 4 slices of thick cut Italian country bread - or the closest you can get to it
* 1 large clove of Garlic, peeled, halved and bruised
* Extra virgin olive oil
* 1 red chili pepper, halved lengthways (optional)
* Sea salt

* Toast the bread so it's to your liking
* Rub the bruised Garlic over the surface ot the toast
* Optionally, rub the cut chili over the surface of the toast
* Pour a thin stream of virgin olive oil over the surface of the bread
* Sprinkle with sea salt
